Brain Injury Attorneys: Shana De Caro and Michael Kaplen, new honors

Congratulations to my partner, Shana De Caro. In addition to continuing in her role as treasurer of the Traumatic Brain Injury Litigation Group, at this week’s American Association for Justice (AAJ) convention, Shana was elected to the position of Secretary of the Civil Justice Foundation, Board of Trustees.

The Civil Justice Foundation is the national charitable organization dedicated to safeguarding justice for all Americans by strengthening the alliance between trial attorneys and consumer advocacy groups.  The Foundation is the only national foundation devoted solely to protecting individual rights, health, and well-being of the injured by providing small, but significant grants to support the tireless efforts of organizations fighting for injury prevention and justice preservation throughout the country.

Among the recent foundation grants were grants to set up a traumatic brain rehabilitation community that has reintegrated multiple participants into every day society; helped produce the “Hot Coffee” documentary which teaches consumsers about their rights and protections against unsafe business practices and; efforts for the prevention and remooval of unsafe child products.

I was honored to be elected to the Board of Trustees of the Melvin M. Belli Society.  The society is an international group of trial lawyeers dedicated to preserving and protecting the civil justice system and sharing information on practical courtroom skills.

If we can assist you with your brain injury personal injury case, Shana and I would be pleased to meet with you.  You can obtain further information about your brain injury law practice, by visiting our brainlaw web site.
