Cognitive Rehabilitation Workshop for Brain Injury Professionals

Cognitive Rehabilitation Workshop for Brain Injury Professionals will be held on September 14, 2011 at the InterContinental Hotel, New Orleans.

This workshop will be held on the first day of the North American Brain Injury Society (NABIS) 9th Annual Conference on Brain Injury, September 14-17, 2011, in New Orleans, Louisiana.

The course focuses on practical activities that can be used in the rehabilitation of attention, visual processing, information processing, memory and executive functions.

The specific course aims are:

•         To teach therapists how to design, develop and implement a comprehensive cognitive rehabilitation program,

•         To teach therapists about the four approaches to ensure a synergistic effect within their cognitive rehabilitation programs, and

•         To enable therapists to practice formulating clinical reasoning for designing cognitive rehabilitation programs.
