Web Based Seminar on Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy
The Brain Injury Association of America will present a webinar on Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE) on June 17, 2010, 3- 4 p.m. EST.
CTE has received a great deal of attention recently as a result of studies at the University of Boston sponsored by the Sports Legacy Institute which link this condition to multiple concussions received by athletes. The condition which is similar to Alzheimer’s disease is only caused by brain trauma.
Join Anne McKee, MD, Associate Professor of Neurology and Pathology Director at Boston University and Chris Nowinski, Co-founder of the Sports Legacy Institute for a presentation on “Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy.”
