New York State Brain Injury Conference

The New York State Department of Health Traumatic Brain Injury Program is again sponsoring its Working Together: Best Practice 2008, Traumatic Brain Injury Rehabilitation Conference on October 16th in Albany, New York from 8 AM to 5 PM. The conference will be held at the Empire State Plaza Convention Center.

Since 1993, the annual Best Practice Symposium has offered an affordable and accessible opportunity for persons who have experienced a brain injury and their loved ones to connect and share their experiences with one another.  The symposium also provides a forum for brain injury service providers and policy makers to promote innovation and best practices in the Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) service delivery system.

You will have the opportunity to meet myself as Chair of the New York State Traumatic Brain Injury Services Council as well as other members of the Council.  We look forward to hearing your suggestions and recommendations for improving the delivery of services in New York State for those who have sustained a traumatic brain injury.

You can obtain more information on this program by contacting the TBI Waiver Program at 518 474 6580 or by email.
