Brain Injury Association of Pennsylvania Annual Conference

The Brain Injury Association of Pennsylvania is scheduled to hold their annual conference on June 23 and June 24, 2008 in Harrisburg, PA.

The conference is entitled, "Best Practices in Brain Injury: Meeting the Challenges of Role and Life Cycle Changes," in recognition that needs after brain injury may continue throughout an individual's lifespan.

The conference schedule was designed  to provide meaningful exchange and important information in a rich array of breakout session covering topics under the tracks of New Alternatives in Treatment, Activism & Advocacy and Improving the Quality of Life.

In addition to the conference, two pre-conference workshops will be offered beginning Sunday afternoon, finishing up Monday morning.  One is the American Academy for Certification of Brain Injury Specialists (AACBIS) training, available to both entry level staff and experienced professionals working with brain injury services. The other training topic is the National Brain Injury Information Center (NBIIC), available to BIAPA– registered Brain Injury Resource Line Volunteers.
