Front Page Story on Concussions & Brain Injury in USA Today

The front page of USA Today contains an important story on the risk of permanent brain damage to troops in Iraq as a result of undiagnosed concussions. Something we all know but is now getting the attention of the medical profession is that these concussion injuries "frequently go undiagnosed because troops have no apparent wounds or might not know they suffered a concussion." Another important story appears within USA today going into some further detail about concussions and brain damage.  Even mild injuries to brain add up .

Both of these stories are important must reads for any one involved in brain injury advocacy.  Hopefully these stories will spur Congress into restoring the necessary funding to the TBI Act which was eliminated by President Bush.
