More on the right to trial by jury

Our historic right to a civil jury trial has served the individual American citizen for more than 200 years.  It is the most effective protection against the oppression by the rich and powerful as well as the unpredictable whims of public opinion.  Our civil jury system is virtually incorruptible.

The common sense, sound judgment and collective experience of the civil jury makes in our most effective method of eliciting the truth.

Protect the right of a jury to judge a medical malpractice case.  Don't allow the Senate to infringe on the rights of American juries.

"Representative government and trial by jury are inherent and invaluable rights without which a people cannot be free and happy.  These were the rights in the forefront of events leading to the Declaration of Independence." U.S. Supreme Court Justice William O. Douglas (1954)

"The men and women who serve on our juries have maintained a standard of fairness and excellence throughout the history of our country and demonstrated a vision toward the administration of justice that is a wellspring of inspiration"  U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice Earl Warren (1962)
