National Association of Head Injury Administrators: Urgent Request

I have received an urgent request for donations from the National Association of Head Injury Administrators to fund their lobbying efforts to restore funding in the President's fiscal year 2007 proposed budget for the Federal TBI program.

You may already know that the President's proposed budget has eliminated ALL funding for the Federal TBI program. This will cause the elimination of the State Protection and Advocacy Grants which provide funding for legal assistance programs and planned outreach programs for the identification of children who have sustained brain injury and returning Iraq war veterans who have suffered head injury and brain damage.

The National Association of State Head Injury Administrators is urgently requesting donations to fund their efforts to have these funds restored to the federal budget.

You can make your donation on line at their Head Injury Administrators web site. or send your donation payable to NASHIA and mail it to Kenneth Currier, Executive Director, NASHIA, 4330 East West Highway, Suite 301, Bethesda, MD 20814.

Don't forget to contact you congressional representative and urge that these funds be restored.

If you are not already a member of NASHA, I urge you to join.
