Brain Injury Graduate Program

A Graduate Certification Program in Special Education and Brain Injury is being offered on line by George Washington University.

The on line program will earn you 15 graduate credits and consists of the following areas:

  • Introduction to Acquired Brain Injury: Programs, Policies and Resources
  • Brain Function and Impact of Brain Injury on Learning and Education
  • Family Partnerships for Systems Change
  • Instructional Methods in Special Education and Transition for students with brain injuries
  • Interdisciplinary and Interagency Service Coordination with Focus on Brain Damage

The program sponsors say that the program is appropriate for special educators, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, psychologists, school psychologists, vocational rehabilitation counselors, brain injury advocates and other professionals seeking to enhance their knowledge of the issues surrounding brain injury and their competence in this field.

Applications are now being accepted for the Spring 2006 semester and I understand that GWU has scholarship funding available.
