Brain Injury Lawyers Professional Meeting Announced

The 3rd annual medical legal conference for brain injury lawyers has been announced by the North American Brain Injury Society, (NABIS) an international professional group made up of attorneys who represent persons who have sustained a traumatic brain injury and health care professionals who diagnose and treat these injuries.  Running concurrently with the attorney brain injury conference will be a medical conference.

I am pleased that I have again been invited to present at this meeting on the important topic of "legal ethics for brain injury lawyers".  At the first conference I presented on public perception of brain injury.  Last year, I gave a talk on utilizing medical literature during the trial of a traumatic brain injury case.

The tentative schedule for this year's conference includes a half day presentation on neuropsychological testing and an extensive workshop on concussion in sports.  I have also been informed that a representative of the CDC will speak on traumatic brain injury.  The conference is scheduled for September 22-24, 2005 at the Ritz Carlton in Amelia Island, Florida.
