A Pediatric Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) program has been announced in Ohio focusing on educational strategies and psychosocial interventions for children with TBI.
The program is scheduled for November 15th, 2012 to be held at Greater Columbus Convention Center, 400 North High Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215
The 2012 Traumatic Brain Injury Summit will include a series of presentations and panel discussions that explore the current state of educational research in traumatic brain injury and how to translate the research into practice. Presenters will feature traumatic brain injury evidence-based educational strategies and psychosocial interventions to support children with TBI.
The TBI Summit will provide information about current research on serving children/youth with TBI and will target interventions at the child, family, educator, and systems levels. Time will also be set aside to meet with TBI educational partners from Ohio and neighboring states to develop a plan for infusing evidence-based practices in school settings for children with TBI and how to partner more effectively in the future.
The brain injury program will bring together interested stakeholders to design a plan for integrating evidence-based practices into the school and community and to provide ongoing support to educators and school psychologists working with students with TBI.
