New York State Traumatic Brain Injury Services Coordinating Council

I am truly honored to inform my readers that I was elected Chairperson of the New York State Traumatic Brain Injury Coordinating Council (TBISCC) at the council meeting held yesterday.

The council was formed by act of the New York State legislature to provide long term planning and advice to the Department of Health regarding service needs of persons who have sustained a brain injury.

With my third and final term expiring this June as president of the Brain Injury Association of New York State, I will be able to devote considerable time to the business of the council and to continue my efforts to improve the quality of life of those suffering from brain damage.

I look forward to leading the council in its vital mission.  I believe that the council can play an important role in insuring that the highest standards of care and the best services are available in the State of New York to bother survivors of brain injury and their families.

I will work zealously and tirelessly to insure that the best resources that are available be utilized to address this public health crisis.
