ABC News correspondent, Bob Woodruff shows signs of improvement following serious head injury
Encouraging news out of Germany today from an ABC news message concerning correspondent Bob Woodruff who suffered a serious head injury following the explosion of a road side bomb in Iraq.
Woodruff apparently sustained a head injury which caused severe brain swelling requiring a craniotomy (removal of a portion of the skull) to relieve the swelling and pressure in his brain. He remained conscious following the explosion and head trauma.
The latest reports are that he may return to the United States tomorrow for further treatment. Read the associated press update on Woodruff's condition.
