Following up my earlier post (May 14) concerning brain trauma and the need to wear helmets when engaging in sporting activities, another report today from Kentucky, where a 16 year old un-helmeted high school student fell from her ATV striking her head resulting in a coma. Although her physicians gave her family little hope for survival, almost 6 weeks later this young woman first opened her eyes and is now walking again! Click here to read the story.
